Who we are:

HES is designed and operated by Light Foot Enterprises, a not-for–profit Community Interest Company that partners local community and environmental groups in communities across the Marches. Find out more at www.light-foot.org

More importantly HES is a team of real people working together on practical solutions.

Out and about in the communities there are teams of Volunteer Energy Surveyors. They are fantastic and too numerous to name individually but they are the lifeblood of HES. Inspired by the ability to get on and make a real difference in their communities, to learn new skills and to enjoy themselves they work tirelessly, taking HES in to the household.

To help them do what they do HES employs a series of Local Coordinators whose job is to support the surveyors and marry them up with householders wanting surveys.

Knighton and Presteigne is coordinated by the ever colourful Rachel Francis. - rachelf@light-foot.org
Montgomery is coordinated by the ever cheerful Mike Membery. - mikem@light-foot.org

Behind the scenes are some back room staff :

Dave Green is the brainy Energy Officer ensuring high quality reports are produced day in day out, that householders always get an answer and there are always low energy light bulbs in the store cupboard - daveg@light-foot.org
Rachel Francis reappears as the controller of all Communications and Marketing work - rachelf@light-foot.org
Sue Salmon is the baker that allows us all to do what we do, Administering everything from the marriage of householders to surveyors to the provision of biscuits for every occasion. - sues@light-foot.org
Adam Kennerley is the one who sometimes dons the suit as the Chief Executive and who has to go to lots of meetings. - adamk@light-foot.org
Michael Whithouse joins in every so often as our carbon accountant to help us count the molecules (they are so fiddly!)
